Resident Evil Veronica is a remake of 2000's Resident Evil Code: Veronica. Capcom describes it as a reimagining with modernized gameplay and more detailed graphics.

Capcom reported that Resident Evil Veronica passed one million combined wishlists across PS5 and PC shortly after its announcement. This is an interest milestone, not a sales figure or preorder count.
Producer interviews describe the remake as a third-person game and say members of the Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4 remake teams are involved. PlayStation Blog also reports that parts of the story are being adjusted to fit the wider series lore.
